Hema Malini has shared a heartfelt tribute to her late husband, legendary Bollywood star Dharmendra, posting emotional pictures that reflect their lifetime of love, togetherness, and cherished memories.
The veteran actor, known as Bollywood’s He-Man, passed away earlier this week in Mumbai.
A Touching Tribute Filled With Memories
On Thursday, Hema Malini posted a collection of old, personal photographs on social media. Along with the pictures, she wrote:
“Some memorable moments.”
In another post, she honored their long journey as life partners, adding:
“Togetherness over the years — always there for us. Some special moments.”
These posts came just hours after her official message, where she described Dharmendra’s warmth, kindness, and loving nature. She said he touched the lives of everyone who met him and left an unforgettable mark on Indian cinema.
‘The Void Will Last a Lifetime’
Sharing yet another set of pictures, Hema Malini expressed the depth of her pain and grief. She wrote:
“My personal loss is indescribable, and the vacuum created is something that will last through the rest of my life. After years of togetherness, I am left with countless memories to relive those special moments.”
Her posts reflect the emotional weight of losing a partner she shared more than four decades with.
A Bond Spanning Decades
Hema Malini and Dharmendra married in May 1980. Dharmendra was already married to Prakash Kaur and had four children — Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Ajeeta, and Vijeeta.
With Hema, he welcomed two daughters: Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
Their relationship has long been admired as one of Bollywood’s most iconic love stories.
Dharmendra’s Final Days
The legendary actor had been dealing with respiratory issues and was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital for treatment. He was later shifted home under medical supervision.
Dharmendra passed away on November 24, leaving behind a legacy that shaped generations.
